Cryptography and Network Security. Fifth Edition by William Stallings (Prentice Hall, 2010). This textbook provides the same coverage of network secrutiy topics as does Network Security Essentials. Fourth Edition, but has greatly expanded coverage of cryptography. For instructors and students, there is a technical resource and course page to supplement the book.
